Library Foundation

Kismet Public Library Foundation, established in 2013 and governed by a volunteer board of
community leaders, is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping ensure the
future of the Kismet Public Library by providing ongoing support of the library’s collections and
programs and supporting improvements and enhancements to the building to benefit the
residents of Kismet and the surrounding rural area.
The mission of the Kismet Public Library Foundation is to promote, enhance, and/or support
the services, programs, and activities of Kismet Public Library. Kismet Public Library
Foundation received official notification of its designation as a 501(c)3 organization by the IRS
on June 19, 2014.
The Kismet Public Library Foundation Board of Directors meets quarterly for its regular board
meetings, with additional work sessions scheduled as needed. The annual meeting is held in
conjunction with the first-quarter business meeting.
