Invitation to Bid
The Kismet Public Library Foundation Board of Kismet, Kansas, will accept sealed bids for the construction of a Kismet Public Library building. To bid the project, you must be a licensed contractor with Seward County. All contractors and subcontractors that work on the project must also be licensed with Seward County. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond following the award of contract. Such bond will be required at contract signing.
Specifications are available at the current Kismet Public Library, 503 Main St., Kismet, KS 67859. Any questions regarding the specifications shall be addressed in writing to the Kismet Public Foundation Board at Kismet Public Library, PO Box 66, Kismet, Kansas 67859, or by email at foundation@kismetlibrary.info no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Sealed bids will be received at Kismet Public Library, 503 Main Street or PO Box 66, Kismet, KS 67859, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, at which time the bids will be opened publicly and read. The envelope should be plainly marked “Kismet Public Library.” Bids received after the scheduled time will be returned unopened.
The building will be an approximately 6,000 square foot library facility on Main Street in Kismet, Kansas, and will include a safe room/storm shelter.
Solicitations from qualified minority and women owned businesses, firms, and individuals are encouraged by the Kismet Public Library Foundation Board. This encouragement does not infer preference and all solicitations will be evaluated equally.
The Kismet Public Library Foundation Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, the right to waive any or all irregularities therein, and the right to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of Kismet Public Library.
